The Artist
Marcel Reich is an independent, distinctive artist and painter from Switzerland. He explores the realm of the existential states of the human soul, like loneliness, fear, pain, desire, love and hatred. His expressive, often dark artworks are to be understood as criticism of contemporary culture as well as of current political, social and technological developments.
Reich's representational, large-format paintings can be described as a fusion of realism, dark surrealism and expressionism. He applies a wide range of painting techniques such as oil crayon, watercolors, ink, acrylic colors and oil on canvas. All his artworks are handmade, non-digital and there’s no AI involved.
